Like the question says above, is it worth anything? because we owned a 2003 navigator up to last year in the summer when my mom crashed it and it got totaled. my mom and my sister which was with her said a little compact car hit this giant beast and hardly got smushed in the front. she also read that the navigators had one of the worst safety ratings in their class. we also had to bring it in to the shop about every 3-4 months for electronic difficulties. my dad also hated the gas mileage on it. but i sort of liked how it was big, classy, the automatic rear door opening, 3 rows seats folding down in a push of a botton, and it drove and handled nicely. So i'm just curious what kind of improvements they made on the 2007, if any.

Actually, big difference from a 2003. New 3 valve engine designed to run on regular octane, a 6 speed trans for better economy, class exclusive power folding 3rd row seats that adults can actually sit in. The Navigators actually have class leading safety including another exclusive which is roll stability control, and not to mention an independant rear suspension for predictable handling. And there are a tonne of other improvements. Afterall, it is the vehicle that invented the class.

The 2007 Lincoln Navigator has been redesigned as with the Ford Expedition, on which it is based. Ford is trying to aim the Navigator at the newly released Cadillac Escalade to take away some of it's fame. I personally would not spend the base price of $46,575 for a Ford but instead would rather get a nicely equiped 2007 GMC Yukon. Nevertheless Ford is trying to reach customer approval of their products and the new Edge along with the new line-up of Lincoln vehicles, including the Navigator, is a step toward that goal. Back on track, however, the new Navigator is offered with fold away running boards, which I thought was cool. But Ford is keeping the old 5.4L V8 used in the 2003 as the sole motivator of the 2007. Hope this helps.

well my brother bought a 2007 navigator last week and well he's in love with that car....before buying the car he test drove the navigator and the escalade and he hated the escalade for several reasons the escalade had a big engine and had the performance of a hummer....(gas waster approx. 13-16mpg), it lacked acceleration and the front headlights looked kind of sissy....well anyhow the 2007 lincoln navigator has nice features like Stabilitrac with rsc (roll stability control) standard, first in class power liftgate, first in class power-deployable running boards, power-folding heated exterior mirrors feature, and a really smooth and fun ride, the improvement that was made is the overall performance of the vehicle...this suv has more features than last year's model

Go with the Navigator.

Gas mileage is going to suck with any vehicle of that size whether its from GM, Ford, Toyota, or Nissan. If you're buying a vehicle like that, mpg, should not be on your mind. It's like buying a Ferrari and complaining about the price.

Go to Ford's website and check it out. I'm sure there are some differences other than some trim. Ford is always trying to improve on safety. There may be some safety features that were optional and now they may standard. Thanks for considering Lincoln

It's a Ford Excretion...I mean EXPEDITION.

Same truck, plus leather and a fancy grille and some options.

Piece of gaudy oversized dogsh-t for guidos and wannabe rappers.

If you must drive an absurd school bus sized vehicle, buy a Toyota Sequoia. At least it will be safe and reliable.
