Yes the engagement ring goes on the left hand ring finger and so does the wedding band. The wedding band goes on first (closes to your heart) then the engagement ring after the wedding band this happens at the wedding. Yes he buys both rings and the bride to be buys his wedding ring.

The wedding band goes under the engagement ring on the same hand. For the ceremony most women put the engagement ring on the right hand and then switch it after the ceremony. As far as when to buy the ring it depends. Some rings are sold as a set so you would buy both at the same time, and others are sold separately. When my husband bought my ring it was an estate ring and did not have a specific matching band so, we looked for an appropriate band after he proposed.

They both go on the left hand. Come your wedding day you move your e-ring to a different finger until after the ceremony than during the exchange of rings your wedding band will go on your left finger. Than afterwards you will put your e-ring back on your left. Your e-ring goes on top of the wedding band.
You can buy the set of bands (e-ring...her wedding band and his wedding band) or you can buy them all seperatly. Sometimes its cheaper to get the full set. Most jewlers will give you a deal if you buy them together. I know that GM Pollack has their 1/2 price ring sale in March...thats usually the best time to go in and buy rings. ALL their rings are marked 1/2 price (and they don't up the price before hand). Or they also do a "Christmas in July" sale and they usually have some good sales then.

Both wedding ring and engagement ring - traditionally - go on the left hand - on the finger next to the pinky.
Very often - people with get a set. A wedding ring and an egagement ring that can be worn together on that finger. Sometimes they even interlock in some way. SOME women put their engagement ring on another finger after the wedding. Some women use their engagement ring AS their wedding ring.
You know what? It really doesn't matter. You don't even have to have a ring. Or you can have two pinky rings - one on each hand. It's whatever you and your fiance want.

The engagement ring and the wedding band both go on the left ring finger.
Some couples go for the bridal set which is both rings sold together so they match. Other times it'll be a fancy engagement ring and just a plain band made from the same material for the wedding band.

The engagement ring is removed during the wedding ceremony, then the engagement ring is put on the ring finger with the wedding ring to make a set.
You can buy wedding ring sets where the engagement ring fits in with the wedding ring, but it doesnt really matter if he gets them at the same time or not.

Traditionally the wedding band and engagement ring go on the same finger, left hand ring finger (the one next to your pinky). But you might want to only wear one combination ring instead of 2. Some people don't even wear a ring and get necklaces instead, or matching tattoos.

The wedding ring goes on the ring finger of your left. Ancient eqyptians believed that the vein that led to the heart ended in this finger.
Your wedding ring sits at the bottom, with your engagment ring on top.
Hope you have a great day

The wedding band goes on the same finger with the engagement ring on first and the wedding ring on second.
The guy usually buys the engagement ring first, just in case the lady says no.
