There is no cure for the common cold. Its a viral infection causing symptoms such as running nose, congestion, coughing sneezing and so on...... Medications sold over the counter are used to alleviate the symptoms of the cold. Like any viral infection, you have to let it run its course and treat the symptoms.

As to date there are no cure for the common cold. It's causes are enormous and would really depend on the individual. His or her immunity, resistance, allergy, etc. Individual colds are usually different. One may be having a cold from smoke, others may be having colds due to allergy of pollens. The best thing to do is get lots of rest, vitamins, sleep and avoid abusing your body that will lower resistance. Also have yourself tested for alergies and avoid the stuff that triggers it.

Sorry there isn't a cure yet? Maybe some day!!

Try lots of Eichinacea (tea or capsules) from health food store or actually can get the tea at local grocery stores now. Traditional Medicinals makes it. It tastes good and really seems to help. You have to drink it strong and every hour though. I almost always get results within a day.

there is no cure for a cold. All you can do is wait for it to go away. Over the counter medications only help you with the symptoms, not make them go away. Sorry.
