I would like a listing of the "words" that are used to replace letters from the English alphabet. I am looking for the words that are normally considered acceptable for military, police, airline, etc.

such as ABC would be alpha - bravo - charlie

Thanx

there's two, one used by the police one used by the military. Others to use it include the way I learned, working as a shop assistant and rinigng up a credit check and haivng to use post codes:

Alpha
Bravo
Charlie
Delta
Echo
Foxtrot
Golf
Hotel
India
Juliet
Kappa
Lima
Mike
November
Omaha
Papa
Quebec
Romeo
Sierra
Tango
Umbrella
Violet
Whiskey
X-Ray
Yankee
Zebra

There's some changes but that's a stnadard where most will recognise what you are trying to say.
