At a local bakery the heath inspector found, mice in the food preparation area, an overflowing toilet and a 20 pence piece in a sausage roll.
They closed it down INSTANTLY
It was on the front page of the local paper and they never reopened

Ha ha ha.....the last time i went to this place.....gosh man...filthy tables, the glasses were absolutely disgustingly filthy, i could see one of the cooks coughing into the food and at one point he spat in the food, thinking no-one was looking he he he, then with the food, well, hair, little items that looked like insect legs, most probably a roach lol and the food wasn't even what i'd ordered in the first place. Thought of answering nature's call, went to the toilets.....was greeted by this horrendous stench, the sinks were.....you know what, i think you can probably guess the rest lol

I ordered nachos at an Applebee's, 3/4 of the way finished with them I found a bandaid. It was wrapped up, like when they get wet and you just pull it off your finger. Needless to say, my meal was free. I didn't eat there for a LONG time afterward though and never order nachos anywhere, anymore.

Caffe Uno, Brentwood. I went there for lunch for my birthday last March. My sister and I were the first in there, and the two girls that came in after us were served our lunch. The restaurant filled up, and we got our lunch last. When the girls had finished their lunch (or should I say ours) one commented to the other that is was nice, but she didnt think it was what she ordered! Our complaint was regarded with complete and utter contempt. My glass of wine cost as much as the lunch, and you'd think they would have knocked that off the bill at least!
Damn good question, I bet you get loads of answers, gives us chance to really let rip!

I agree..our local pizza hut is nasty..our table was slick from who knows what, and we left..and our other pizza place delivered a smashed cockroach inside the box with our pizza..I threatened to call health department and they came and gave me my money back..yukkkk needless to say we dont eat out very often anymore. I'll do my own cooking and I know its safe and clean :)

They'll probably never win a task until Alex is in charge. Don't know about the latest task but she made sure she ruined the last two. When she is in charge..She'll be cracking the whip like a sergeant major.

McDonalds in Uxbridge, Middlesex. Seems very unclean to me and the toilets? Well after visiting them I will never step foot in there again, they stink just like a cow shed and I am not exagerating. Ask anyone else who has been there before!
Everything needs to be sanitised!!!

From what I know, oriental takeaways are among the worst. Some are down right filthy and do not handle food properly, raw or cooked.
I learned to cook my own.

Sorry I do not have any such stories to tell. I go to restaurants with a...A (98-100) rating. When I have gone in some that are filthy...I leave and go elsewhere.
