The Bible tells us that to worry is a sin, we should put all our burdens on the Lord to bear.

It's relative to what it is you are pursuing. If it is a job, then you definately need to be pro-active. Acquiring knowledge, well you need to be thinking and researching that one extensively too. Thinking about something and being active in its manifestation isn't the same as worrying about it. I guess with relationships would be the best example whereby people worry and therefore appear needy and it has the opposite effect to what they are trying to achieve.

When I want something bad enough, I get it.
Period.
I mean, it's pretty freaky too. In High School I saw people I wanted to be friends with, they became my friends.
I wanted to work at GameStop, I worked at GameStop.
I wanted to work for the Browns, I worked for them (twice, two separte wants, two separate occasions).
I wanted this girl in Math Class to be my GF, she was My GF (I later found out she was a better frind, so I wanted here as that, she became that).
I wanted a PC, I got one (free).
It still happens, but I want less, and when I do want something it's usually for someone else.

Sometimes. Needy people looking for relationships tend to lessen their chances because of being needy. However, to be mindful of a goal can assist people in creating an environment where it can happen.

yes... I know for fact that it is true... but the reason you don't get things you so badly want is because you think about them... and things that you don't get when you don't even want them don't make you feel that way... it's all in your mind.
forexample if I want to date some girl so badly, and it happens that i can't it will bother me puts me in thinking that i'm not getting what i really want... but then again if she dates me I'll never think that she was something I really wanted really badly...
see it's your mind playing with you.

That's because you aren't as focused on that one thing. Also, you don't notice all the other things you don't get.
It's a little like how the journey to somewhere is longer than the journey back.
I think...
