I only started cooking about 2 years ago at age 18.
My mum thought that i shouldn't have to cook until i had my own place, Now i do and i absolutely love teaching myself to cook, it's great fun, i have heaps of dinner parties and invite my friends over.

I learned very young I would say around the age of 4 or 5. I would help my mom every night. By the time I got to be 7/8 I could make things myself. The reason why I learned so young is because all the way up till I was 16 I used to want to be a cook.

I was allowed to make cookies or tacos once every couple months from 10 or so. But I didn't really learn how to cook and cook for myself until I was about 20.

I think I started cooking at around 12, but my mom always cooked and I was always in the kitchen with her when I was younger.

By 14 years old, I was cooking dinner for the whole family.

Throughout growing up, my sisters and I would watch my mom. She would have us help sometimes. Then she went back to work and we were left by ourselves after school so we started putting stuff together. After I moved away from home and wanted home cooking, I would make phone calls home and now I'm pretty good (not as good as mom's though). My mom's Japanese and my dad is African-American and she did both cultures very well!

I began cooking around 7 years old. I began teaching my sons to cook when they were about 3 years old.

I was the oldest of 5 kids, so I was taught to cook at 11.I finished dinner when I came home from school.My single Mom worked and started the meal, left instructions and I followed them.Thank God she showed me how to make ends meet......
