How high is the fever? If its over 103 then maybe you should if not then they wont do much unless she is dehydrated then they might give her an IV or just some fluids. You should give her gatorade or powerade and water. Itll help with the dehydration. And also give her ibprofen if her fever is really high itll bring it down quicker but if its maybe 101 or lower then give her tylenol. Either one will work though but ibprofen can make an upset stomach worse.
Im not a Dr. just a mom and my son is 5 so Ive been through all this before but if you have any doubts then just call her Dr. they should have a nurse on call to answer any questions you have. Or also if you have any other doubts bring her into the ER.

Not neccessarly yet, but be careful. Keep tabs on how many bouts of diarrhea your baby has, is the stool really runny or soft? How long has your baby had diarrhea? 1-2 days, Keep your baby hydrated, use pedialyte if necessary. Longer than that then I would go to the ER. If you notice your babies mouth and tongue are dry and there is crying with no tears, then go directly to ER.
As for the fever, what is the temp? Children will spike fevers almost wirthout reason and out of no where, sometimes even have a seizure (don't be afraid of that) and then the fever goes away as fast as it started.
Fever is a bodies natural way of dealing with something inside the body and shouldn't always be medicated. Let it run its course, but if it persists, then some childrens Motrin or tylenol would be good. Dose is based on the childs weight.

Its probably a good idea. Your baby runs the risk of dehydration from both the fever and diarrhea. If your baby is able to take in oral fluids, such as pedialyte, then your baby is doing OK and is just fussy from the fever. You should call your pediatrician, but then again, being a holiday today you might not get a hold of anybody. Normally to an adult I'd say stay at home and keep hydrated and control the fever with tylenol and motrin. But since you have a 6month old, their immune system isn't as developed and you don't know the source of the fever, I'd say go to the ER now.

That depends on how high her fever is, and how long she's had it.
If her fever is over 103, call your doctor's office. Even if they're closed they'll have an emergency number. If the fever is lower and she has had it only today wait to see if she get sbetter with your help.
She needs lots of liquid if she has diarrhea, because her body is dehydrated. Also, give her baby Tylenol to drop the fever. Watch her through the night. Give her the Tylenol as detailed on the back of the box. If her fever gets worse, call the doctor, but in all likelihood she'll get better. She just needs a little time and pampering.
Alternate her bottle with water and 100% juice. This will both hydrate her, and replenish lost nitrients.

Depends how high the fever is and how long has he/she had it and has it gone down any with motrin or tylenol. Personally, if the fever is 103, I would go the ER. Otherwise, try the tylenol and motrin.
First, you might call a nurses hotline. Our health insurance and my daughter's medicaid both have a 24 hour nurses hotline. They can answer your questions and let you know if you should go to the ER or not. They will also send the call in to your doctor so that they can know what's going on with your baby.
I called the hotline when my daughter stratched her eye and they told me to go to the ER. The two hour wait was horrible, but it was worth it. Glad we took her! The drops really relieved her pain.
Good luck.

nope i wouldnt take him/her unless the temp is above 103 and the baby is not drinking any fluids.i use to take my baby to the doctor for every lil thing including things like this and the same thing would always happen...i would wait a long time in th ER and then they would take her temp give her a dose of tylenol and motrin and then send me to a room for them to come and tell me that there is no need to worry if the temp is not over 103 they do not consider it a emergency.they do tell you to give tylenol and motrin switching off during the night cause you can give both at the same time.mind you the babies temp will spike around 3 in the am for some reason their body temp rise around this time.just make sure to keep them on the meds and give half water half juice ...i believe your not suppose to give milk as it feeds to the fever.oh and get the diaper rash cream cause most likely if there is a alot of diareah then there will be a raw lil hiny...hope i helped and hope your lil one feels better!!

How long has she had diahrrhea?? How high is her fever?? I would call the pediatrician on-call and talk to them. Give her fluids in small incraments and give baby tylenol. Your pediatrician will give you the best advice. Don't be afraid to call them, thats why they take turns being on-call for things like this.

I would, its so easy for a child to get dehydrated and this time of the year with the flu and pnemonia you don't want to take any chances. You might try to call your doc office and see if there is an emergency number you can reach them at. Good Luck!!!
