"Thou Shalt Not Suffer a Witch To Live".
When King James made that mistranslation (what was translated as "witch" was actually "poisoner"), he opened a can of worms. Now, anything witchy is supposedly evil. The devil-worship comes into play when it was said that the Pagans "sacrificed their children to devils".
Blessed be!

Pagans and Wiccans at the instant are not evil. purely people who talk from lack of knowledge have faith that. human beings including Larry and precise Contributor who published above have in all danger never heard a notice spoken approximately the two faith different than by their church leaders. every physique who exchange into truthful approximately finding the certainty could have no concern in any respect in sorting out the information. each Pagan or Wiccan guy or woman I even have met in genuine existence or on line has been variety, generous and friendly. they at the instant are not approximately devil or the devil. those are purely Christian ideals. So earlier believing those with an time table who persist in spreading lies and fabrications approximately this variety of tolerant, benevolent faith, bypass and ask some questions of the human beings who rather be responsive to, the followers of the Pagan/Wiccan direction. you're bowled over at how friendly and strong they are. And confident, Pagan faiths have been around plenty longer than Christianity.

Because to the christians and muslims anything not christian or muslim is automatically evil, period. its pointless to explain to them about Pagans and wiccans, yet i feel that christians that mix thier religion with Paganism and wiccan are insulting real pagans and wiccans by trying to tell them how to do thier rituals and practices, i feel that christians should not mix thier religion with other beliefs, but what can you do but remind them that thier beliefs are not compatable to Pagans, because thier are rules and practices that most christians and muslims frown upon.
To a christian anyone not worshipping thier God is not worshipping God at all, which is a false dictomy, a lie and an insult to those that were there long before christianity, for me christians remind me of little kids telling thier parents that theyre wrong, theyre the new toddler telling the older religions that have been through many hardships and lots of trial and error that theyre wrong.

alot of it is due to a closed mind. I was raised a christian and was always taught that anyone who was a pagan or a wiccan was of the devil.
It states it in the Bible basically "thou shall not suffer a witch to live" depending on what version you look through.
People like my sister base their opinions off books written by people who go off of stereotypes and do not know anything about the belief.

I've had friends that were Wiccan so I'm not one of those people. But I think some people have this Satanic image of Wiccans because the Bible warns us to beware of spells and supernatural powers as they are Satanic in origin.

should try telling someone you follow the teachings of Crowley and Thelema beside the point though the main problem is the association with Pan found in paganism somewhere along the lines of hISTORY poor old Pan with his hooves and horns became associated with the Devil( I imagine this was the result RCC propaganda , however not 100% sure) Since Pan embodies the principles of nature worship all nature worship was hence considered evil and this attitude has stuck with many christians even today

Only Christians think that. And they do so because its not Christian and many Wiccans are also witches. The bible says "thou shalt not suffer a witch to live" so they've decided ALL Wiccans should be lumped together. If they had their way all Pagans would still be burned at the stake as something unholy.

Maybe because some of us choose to use nicknames like "Wicked"? ;) (teasing)
But seriously--this is the internet. People are louder there. Most Christians are decent, understanding people, as are most pagans. Pity that the loudest people in both groups tend to create stereotypes for everyone else to deal with.

people fear that which they are ignorant about. It is called being closed minded, the church teaches people all else is evil, teaching them to be closedminded from a young age. And look at you pointing a finger at satan, do you have enough information to make that judgement

I think that the only response you will get from them is "because it says so in the bible" or "it is not of God" (how do you know?). You know that some people are completely incapable of thinking for themselves! You know, the whole "Ignorance is bliss" thing! And they would rather ignore what we are all about rather than actually make an effort to look into it.
