I would go back tomorrow. If it was strep, we have seen several cases of penicillin resistant strep so we have had to give a different drug. If you didn't have strep, then you could very well just have a virus and no antibiotic will cure it, only time and rest.

You need time for the penicillin to get round the body and start to work. I think 36 hours so if you son't feel any better by then go to your doctor, the prescription may not be the right one or strong enough for your particular condition.

if he gave you penicillin v it should be well into your system by now i would normally say after 4 days and no improvement then go back . i hope you are feeling better asap

See your GP tomorrow - if no appts left ask for emergency appt( meaning you get seen that day instead of waiting) giving reason that your throat is still swelling.

You should have started to feel better 24-36 hours after you started to take the medicine, I would go back tomorrow, maybe they have given you the wrong kind of medication.

if you dont feel any better and feel like you should go back, then go back, you know your own body give the antibiotics 5 days to a week to start to work

5 days to a week normally - you have to give yourself a chance to get better - and rest!!!
