No, I'm a Muslim and I find no error in listening to any songs or music.

Don't be afraid to listen to music, theres nothing wrong about it or anything in the Quaran against it.

Peace.

I have muslim friends and they do not listen to much music. You must keep your mind pure, so be careful what you put into it. I am glad that you got some good answers, just disregard the inappropriate ones. Honestly, I wish that I could find more music that my muslim friends could listen to. I mean music that they would enjoy that glorifies Allah. You can certainly listen to music that is quite nutral: instrumentals, music about the beauty of nature, ect.

I'm not a Muslim, but there was a big pop artist in the 70's named "Cat Stevens." In the late 70's he converted to Islam and changed his name to Yusef Islam. He still collects royalties from his music, but any songs he recorded prior to his conversion that contradict Islam, he donates those royalties to charity.

He lives in the UK and is a prominent figure in the Muslim community there. His website might have information that could better answer this question.

It is a Hadith that you aren't allowed to listen to anything that can persuade you, or behoove you to do something morally wrong. However, it's harmless listening to Justin T, unless if you really plan to get nekkid at the end of his song.

I listen to it and I am Muslim. I just turn if off when the I hear the call for prayer. In the states I had to use my internal clock. Life is to be enjoyed. That's my view point and yes I am Muslim.

YES

Below is the scriptural basis for this MAINSTREAM VIEW IN ISLAM.

Note: Western muslims are less inclined to this view but they are less than 1% of the entire Islamic world.

Well strict muslims say yes it is a sin.

Some other non-strict muslims like me say that it's allawed as long as there is not sinful act mentioned in the song that would encourage you to take part in doing such sins, such as sex, drinking, warshiping other gods such as in rockn'roll.
