I have been a habitual user of marijuana for the past 7 years, apporximatly smoking an 8th of an ounce every 2 days...for 7 years. Recently after i smoke a joint i feel dizzy and get really paranoid about my health (heart attacks, strokes). I have never ever been a paranoid smoker, why would the paranoia start 7 years after use? or why would the drug be causing different effects all of a sudden?

I've been doing yoga for 3 years, and im not that old, im only 24, i did notice that it started happening when i got into intence mountain biking, but have stopped biking since its winter now, now when i have a little toke its not as severe, and i feel i can control it by thinking good thoughts and doing my bretahing excersizes. Some of the answers that were given are making it sound like im not 'grown up' or just some idiot smoker that buys my **** on the streets, i know my strains and my brands, and i dont smoke oil/resin/hash as i find it too harsh for my lungs.. and im not a cigarette smoker.

I have had the same problem myself. My bf has been an avid smoker for sometime now and when we met he smoked an 1/8 every day. I started smoking with him more and though we now split a 1/4 a week I seem to have some problems. I've only really been smoking these last two years, before that it was VERY infrequent. I didn't have a problem until I took 'shrooms (my one and only time THAT will happen) My bf thinks I'm nuts, but I've been a little pared out ever since when I smoke. It doesn't happen every time, but often enough. I find certain strains have an effect as well as smoking quite a bit. I've cut back and if I feel like I'm getting lightheaded or a little sketchy even after one hit I stop. I don't think mj's bad for people, but I do believe in everything in moderation and since our bodies do change over time so do our stressors and thoughts. I say relax, make an 1/8 last a little longer and try to think about what's going on in your head when you start to feel like this; it's worth a shot.

I was raped and molested from the time I had just turned 11 until I was 18 and my parents did nothing about it except blame me. I never got counceling and he never got punished or reported. I have been dealing with this for over 40 years and still go once a week to a professional for help because I get suicidal sometimes. It comes back in your dreams and you never have a good married relationship. I am glad they are getting counceling and let them know the men will never be able to get near them again to hurt them that way. I applaud you and wish my Mom had gotten help for me whe I was younger. I think with therapy and the young age of the children they will recover. They will never forget but they will be able to live a semi-normal life. And by the way boys who are 18 & 20 ARE men and know better. Make sure they get what they deserve. There are too many willing women out there who would have sex with them that they did not have to molest children.

Smoking too much can make you misspell "marijuana" as "marajuana" for one thing... For another, an allergy can develop to anything at any time in someone's life, so that could be it. Like someone else mentioned, maybe it's a particularly potent batch, or a different blend of cannabinoids in it. Different kinds of pot have different kinds of effects.

Best advice has been stated. Lay off, if not forever, at least for a while.

I think its because after so many years we know the legalities of what will happen if we get caught. I believe smoking a little pot is not near as bad as drinking.

After 24 years I still hold down a management positions have raised a wonderful family. I have low blood pressure and stay stress free . or at least I can sit down and unwind like most people do with a beer !!!

Do you know the person you're getting your stuff from?
I don't think what's happening to you is directly from marijuana.
Look at Willie Nelson, he's been at it for about 40 yrs., &
he's looking better than ever.
You might have another medical problem that is triggered off
by smoking. Consider a check up or you can try not smoking
for a day & see how you feel.

i have 30 years experience in this field, i have an IQ of 122, am very successful and believe me there is nothing wrong. you may have gotten some good stuff and are not used to it. every once in a while i get some stuff like that and i just mix it with other stuff and it helps. also if u are stressed or dehydrated these things make u more paranoid

7 years is a long time to smoke so heavily. I've only been smoking that much for 2 years, and I worry about my health. Stoners forget that too much of ANYTHING is potentially bad, even a relatively harmless drug like marijuana. I would cut back on the habit, see if that makes a difference. If it doesn't, see a doctor.

I think you have answered your own question. Maybe it is time you grow up, quit doing this stuff and quit being paranoid. Take care of yourself!! God only gives us one chance with a good body, so take care of what he gave you and grow up. If you are still very paranoid go see your family physician and have a complete physical done and see what it shows, then you can have something to whine about. No sense in worrying until you have something to worry about!!! I don't mean to be such a hardass, but you have done this to yourself!!

It could be that the gear your smoking at the minute is an unusually high strength. Or it could be that your resistance to the paranoia element of the drug has finally stopped working. If you're smoking resin there could be anything it - I've heard that resin is often cut with all sorts of crap including ketamine.

Smoking ANYTHING for a prolonged period of time is not good for you!
Smoke is not supposed to be in your lungs, and the pot may be causing damage to your body.
Cut back. As FAR back as you can, on the smoking.
And don't smoke ciggarettes instead. That's like trading bronchitis for pneumonia.
Please, try to smoke as little as possible, because your body isn't liking what you're doing to it.
You might be getting dizzy due to a lack of fresh oxygen to your brain.
Go out on walks, practice deep breathing, hell, try yoga!
I used to smoke, ciggs and pot, and it takes a toll on your body.
Please try to at least cut down.

Sheena
