Sounds like any particular strand of flu! Make sure she monitors her temperature and have her take over-the-counter fever reducers (Look at the drug information or as a pharmacist). If she becomes incoherent due to high fever there are some serious problems and she needs to see a physician.

FYI: Fever is combated by keeping warm - not sweating it out though, and drinking a lot of fluids! Get her some Gatorade, it has electrolytes that will help.

It sounds like she may have the flu, but she really needs to see a doctor, because a lot of the symptoms of the flu can mimmick other illnesses, more dangerous ones.
Talk to her, and tell her you're worried, and that you would feel soo much better if she saw a doctor, just to make sure it's nothing too dangerous.

Good luck!

It may just be the flu or that wicked cold that's going around. Try to get her to rest up as much as she can - keep her off of her feet by helping around the house and make sure she drinks plenty of water! If she doesn't get better within a week, tell her that she needs to see a doctor.

Well, It looks like your mom is one of the many thousand right now trying to fight of a pretty nasty viral infection. There is no antibiotics that will rid her of a viral infection. All she can do is hydrate her self alot (lots of water and juices) and get good rest. Also she needs to eat and stay nourished enough to fight it off.Its something that will have to take its course but the better she takes care of her self in the ways I just said, the sooner she will get rid of it.
