I have to make a 3ft centerpiece for a table for our churchs auction. the theme is "a world of pure imagination" willy wonka style and I am looking for suggestions. They would like it more elaborate versus a bunch of candies glued on sticks for they will auction it off and would like one to be able to utilize it. I dont know how many people have a candy theme going on in their homes, so that is why I would like to incorporate mabye like a golden ticket and some candies but need help with the elaborate part of it. Thanks in advance....

my sister makes these awesome centerpieces. you go to the home depot, buy 3 glass blocks, they use them to make glass walls out of them. she got a drill bit made just for glass. she drilled holes in the blocks, ran small mini lights thru them. then she wrapped each with some pretty wired ribbon, and stacked them. you could add some artificial candies to them. they are really very pretty. you could even use a gold ribbon, and attach your gold ticket to the top ..
good luck

print out the golden tickets, wide enough to cover the candles, pillar candles, then glue the tickets around the candles. On skewers, you can skewer candy kisses, chocoates etc., stick them in the base so they are upright in different lengths. The skewers can be purchased in your grocery store, normally in the baking isle. If you make the arrangement in a bowl, you can have the base of the bowl be a bunch of assorted candy or chocolates to cover the base/bottom.
