I am a 42 year old male and I have a lot of bald spots on my head and some of them are scar tissue. my wife says she does not want me to shave my head but I want to. I have shaved my head quite a few times before. what should I do?

Shave it! Bald guys are hot! If you shave it atleast you are bald by choice if that helps! (bald patches not so hot, completly bald very hot!)

In my opinion, do it. A shaved head is a lot more attractive than bald spots.

Shave it!. There is nothing worse than a man going bald and is trying to hang on to what little hair his got, not a good look especially how you said you have bald spots! Sorry but don't listen to your wife. I'm 27 and think its soooo much better if you shave it. I have male friends younger than you who are going bald and they shave it off much better look. Good luck stud.

My brother is a little younger than you.. and he had some problems with that. Anyways, once he shaved his head he looked fantastic!! He was so unsure at first but it looks great.. Shaved heads are so in.. go with it, do it!! Why have bald spots, and a shaved head will make you look younger and sexy!!

Unless you can find a cut that flatters the bald spots (like a really short crew cut or something), you might as well shave it. Combovers and bald spots are not attractive.

Many bald men can be attractive. Michael Jordan, Patrick Stewart, Dr. Evil, Mr. Clean, etc. :)

Far be it for me to come between a husband and wife. However, bald spots are ugly and distracting. It's your head, SHAVE, SHAVE, SHAVE. She'll get over it.

You should do what ever is going to make you feel more comfortable. You already know how its going to look shaved, so what do you think looks better and which is going to make you feel more confident? I'm sure if you shave it your wife will still love you just the same. Good Luck!

Just shave it. Right now you look like an old man but if you shave it, you might look atleast 5 years younger.

If your wife is going to be unhappy with your head being shaved, most likely this would be a bad choice! When momma is not happy, no one is happy!!

Try having it cut short, instead. Let her get used to the short hair, and then go even shorter!

i've this problem as well, i call it my "crop circle" - but i've kept what i've got as i've abit of a block head and a chubby face - hence i'd end up looking like a Gargoyle on a church pillar.
go for a grade 2 then after a while a grade 1, perhaps the bread knife will slowly get used to the new look.

but in the meantime if you win the lottery , please don't do an Elton.... it just looks naff - all men naturally thin, apart from the freaks - Pierce Brosnan springs to mind, and that chuffer dyes his hair me thinks!!!
