That's entirely up to you, Goddess - it can be whatever you want it to be. No-one can force you to spend money on commercial crap, but it's nice to have an excuse for a little romance

Both. However, you shouldn't need a specific day of the year to show how romantic you can be. You should just do it anyway, every so often. So its more a ploy to make people spend money.

It's a marketing ploy that tries to play on people's emotions to make them feel guilty or bad if they don't take part.
Why should anyone be told when to be romantic and why only on one particular day? If your partner doesn't know how you feel about them the rest of the year, then something must be wrong somewhere in the relationship.
If couples want to treat Valentine's Day as a bit of fun, then that's fine, but nobody should feel pressurised into having to celebrate the occasion, it's not that important.

Both!.
people can do a romantic thing such as take a picnic basket to a lake, and walk talk give flowers you've picked and open the wine and strawberry's, no need to spend £40 on some flowers from the florist and add a card that's another £5 then a box of chocolates that's£10 where does it stop.

Lol if you are in a relationship a chance to be romantic.
If you are not a shameless ploy by Hallmark and candy companies to make a profit off a made up holiday.

running shoes are useally less in weight. and do help out. especially for longer distances. kinda like asking if you need wrestling shoes for wrestling. there is a differance. however from there now you are going to pay more money for brand. you can go to walmart and get running shoes for under 20 dollars that work very well. were as you may spend 100 dollars or more for a pair of nikes. for myself i find that the mid range ones are best. roughly 30 dollars or so. last longer and do the job. same with walking shoes. great thing is walmart you can return stuff. so you can try a pair of running shoes and if you dont see a differance return them. even a couple ounces makes a huge differance. just like boxing. if you use 6 ounce gloves and then go to 8 ounce or close at first you dont feel the differance but as the rounds go you can tell. you are more tired now in the 3rd round were as before you could go 5 rounds. just have to find the good pair for you. does not mean your mile will instantly go from 7 min to 4 min either. that takes time and practice.

It is a ploy to make you spend money, but only if you are stupid enough to buy into it all. My partner and I make each other cards, we don't buy each other fancy gifts either. We usually just have a nice romantic meal together at home! Simple!

Its all a ploy - I would want my boyfriend to make an effort on another day, because he wants to and not because the shops are telling him to.
