Hi

There was a recall for battery cable failure, and if you buy a model with a timing belt, the tensioner kit interval was changed from 80k to 40k, but nothing to worry about. It was the petrol Corsas which were the problem!

Go for it, but make sure it has a full service history, and if it has more than 40k on the clock and it has a timing belt then ensure that the belt and tensioner kit has been changed.

If you go for a test drive, ensure the engine is STONE COLD so that you get to drive it through all engine temperatures, for instance a morning drive. If there is any sign that the car has been driven recently (warm pipes etc) then insist that it is allowed to cool right down again before you test drive it because deisels have a habit have having cold problems that are none-existant once warmed up.

If need be, test drive it, have a look at it, and then post any concerns here and we'll try and help you out.

best regards

Geordie
