Back home in Ohio I was open about what I believed, or shuld I say what I didnt believe. Everyone was ok with it. But since I have moved to Missouri 6yrs ago (in the bible belt) I have not been open unless asked. Close family and friends know.

I've only told my closest friends, so far most of them agree with me. However, I have a lot of VERY Christian friends, good friends I don't want to loose that I haven't told. I suggest making sure you're close with someone before saying anything- The last thing anyone needs is lost friends over something stupid like this.
However, nobody wants friends who are so close-minded and biased as to not like you anymore over this.

No, but I have had women either stop dating me or refusing to even go out in the first place when they found out I was an atheist.

nope. i grew up in a christian school. all my friends are christian and know im not.

im still friends with my friend from kindergarden, we respect eachothers beliefs, and dont force ours on eachother.

however i do have a friend that took this way of the master class and he went all psycho telling everyone they are sinners and what not. most of our friends "excommunicated" him. he would even tell our christian friends they are sinners and going to hell. hes a little better now, we can kinda stand him again.

im agnostic not atheist fyi

Although I’m not an atheist, when I learn that a particular person is a Christian, I do find myself being much more distrusting of them.

I’m working on that, but to date, my experiences with Christians has left me wary.

confident. i exchange into not continually as non secular as i'm now. Many acquaintances and a few family members fell by the wayside as my point of observance greater. i'd desire to assert that the acquaintances worth having are nonetheless around, although.

NO way, I'm not a 'Darwin-thumper' who inconveniences people trying to make them believe something that cannot be proved.

I'm a far more sociable person than most intolerant Christian freaks.

I am not Atheist, I am Pecti-Witan (Hedge Witch) & Buddhist. I thought they were friends but I was sadly mistaken! I do not tell anyone unless they ask, especially if they ask me to go to church with them!

Not at all.The people I know may not agree with me, but we all respect (and don't try to change) each other. In fact, I've made new friends.
