Let them fire you and then call a labor law attorney. But be warned: if you get your job back, the work environment will be hostile and unbearable.

Maybe you can get a $$ settlement and move on.

If you absolutely feel that the road conditions are too hazardous for you to safely get to work feel free to call in. I can't imagine a supervisor telling employees that they absolutely have to come to work no matter if the road conditions are safe or not. If you do get fired or reprimanded for it, I would open up a lawsuit against the company. I sure wouldn't drive to work if the conditions were that bad. Plus I don't make enough money to make it worth driving in those conditions in the first place.

your supervisor has a total disreguard for safty. however your no call no show just voided out your unemployment so count that out. your best bet is to come up with a very good exuse. get fired for standing around or not knowing but tardyness and no shows are not warrented at all with unemployment {texas}

What I would do is show up for work as the excuses you wanted to use are not acceptable reasons to not come in according to your supervisor.
If you got fired getting unemployment is hard. In Washington it takes 10 weeks to get unemployment benefits if you were justifiably fired.

Sometimes it's not the blabes making the noise. Check the splined area where they are attached and spray some WD 40 into the bearings,also ckeck for play in them. You could put some grease on the mechanism joints too.

Don't call and wait a while, don't answer your home phone either. They'll think you left for work and got stuck or killed because of them! If you have a cell phone don't answer it either ... tell them it was dead and you were stuck out there for a couple of hours! Finally got pulled out of the ditch and somehow made it home! Maybe they will feel like an *** for telling you that you had to get to work! lol

Go sign up for unemployment and you will get in after your 8 week waiting period is up.
