Of course - Armageddon is just the name of a place - Magedo. It refers to an actual place, but has been taken to mean the end battle of good and evil.

They are now extinct. The fictional Armageddon was said to appear every year to certain people who longed for total world destruction. These people who sang "all things bright and beautiful", and loved all mankind, secretly longed for the deaths of millions in pursuit of selfish psychotic delusion. Thankfully such laughing - stocks are now defunct.

If you mean a final battle between heaven and hell then no, I wouldn't trust biblical prophecy as far as I could throw it.
If you mean us destroying ourselves through war then why not it is posible
