one reply got me thinking. what if he does want to be friends only.We dont do intimate,
hav'nt for ages. going to start counselling again to work on the pysical side of our relationship.He is all for it so i know he wants to be with me and loves me or he wouldnt want to try.

Sounds like a good idea! I hope it all goes well, it sounds like there is a strong bond there. If he only wanted to be friends why would he be all for the counselling. Work through it together everything has it's ups and downs and can never always be a bed of roses. Best of luck!
