i just downloaded bittorrent and currently it wont move since i added a torrent to it.
note: in the lower left corner it says checking for firewall

yeah this happens all the time when you start up bittorrent.. after a few minutes this goes away and continues as normal. I recommend downloading utorrent or bitcomet as these produce higher download rates and more features then the classic bittorrent, it also only takes like 1 second to start your torrents

Firewalls are for goons. Get an automatic keygen that reboots your system every five minutes under a new user name. This will foil ALL hackers. Of course, you won't be able to actually use the computer for more than 5 minutes at a time, but you will be secure.
