Pilgrim 'God had that under control'???
No. I find it to be evidence that this is nothing more than a silly story concocted from the mind of ancient man.

I think that is a good question. I am a Christian, and I think too often Christians are way too eager to shut down any sort of question about the Bible when really we should be embracing the questions, because they show interest.
I never really thought of it that way before to be honest. God did create light on day 1, but it is true that it wasn't until day 4 that God created the sun and the moon. However, it actually was day 3 that He created the plants.
I don't really know. There are a lot of things that we'll never know, at least not until we get to heaven. But thats part of having faith, to just trust and know that He is God. Also, I think you should consider that the days may not actually be 24 hour days...although they could very well be longer as much as shorter. But for me, I would say if God can form the earth from absolutely nothing and if He formed us from the dust of the ground, then the plants living for a day (however long it may be) without a true sun does not seem to be as big of a deal. It looks to me that God sure knew what he was doing and definetely did a good job of creating the earth, because the plants are still alive today.

dont forget, those 2 days may not be a literal 24 hours, if u DONT confine god to our knowledge of time a day could have been billions of years, which would be an easier way to explain dinosaurs. (then you could ask, how paltn life sustained for sooo long without heat/light)
but if u do take it literally and the earth is only 6000 years old, theres many more unanswered questions then that.

Created The heavens and earth
Spirit of God was over the waters
Then God said, let there be light. Gosh.
He made night and day.
Let there be firmament
The dry land.
Shall I go on or are you a moron?

God made light first. He made the sun on the fourth day because he got tired of having to remember to flick the switch on and off.

If you read the book of Genesis you'll see that God created plants AFTER he created the sun and moon.

Hey, it was only a day or two.
Once you can get past "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth", how can you get all up in a heavel about two days without light or heat?
Don't you think God had that under control?

He is Life, if he says it will grow, it will grow.
I think He may be in the miracle business.
He sends forth his word and it is done.
He says let their be light, and there is light.
In Genesis 1:3, there was light way before he ever made the 2 great lights and the stars in verse 16.
