I'm traveling to these countries on a cruise pretty soon. Any suggestions for things to watch out for, or things not to miss?

Hi, I'm from South America and I love it when other people visit these countries. Chile, Argentina and Uruguay are amazing countries - make sure you visit the beaches of all three countries Punta del Este in Uruguay, Mar del Plata in Argentina. You may also want to see the Iguazu Falls which border Argentina and Brazil, the Andes in Chile, or the icebergs in Argentina (although right now is summer time over there). Argentina is very affordable and you will notice that you can eat a nice steak for $10 and there will be plenty left for you and your friends. The Argentinian steak is the best in the region. As in every country in the world, it is best not to display your wallet, be cautious of dark and solitary places, try to travel in groups of 3 and more, try to avoid drinking water from the faucet, and learn some basic words in Spanish.

Here is a nice article about Argentina and other things you may not want to miss: http://www.macquil.com/articles/argentina.php

Have a nice trip!
