Sit tight and read first.
In Windsor Onraio, Canada a former Muslim turned Christian read from the Koran and pointed out the ideals that the Muslims were not to make friends with Jews and infidels.
He also stated he himself killed many non-Muslims and read many parts that he followed through the years.
He read the actual scripts that he followed for years. That's all.
Now they want to charge him with hate crimes just for reading what was there.
Should the Muslim Koran not be read in public if people are going to be offended?
Please note it was the Muslims that were outraged and accused the speaker of hate.
He only read the verses.

Moderate muslims are offended by what the Quran says because they dont know anything about their own religion. Most have only seen a Quran in arabic and a lot of them dont even pray 5 times a day-they're barely muslim. Why defend a religion when you dont even know what its about? Here are some more verses from the "peaceful religion" that respects human rights and where women have a high status:

Death for apostasy:
Sura 4:89 They long that ye should disbelieve even as they disbelieve, that ye may be upon a level (with them). So choose not friends from them till they forsake their homes in the way of Allah; if they turn back (to enmity) then take them and kill them wherever ye find them, and choose no friend nor helper from among them,”

Kill Disbelievers in a cruel fashion:
Sura 5:33: "Those who make war with Allah and his messenger will be killed or crucified, or have their hands and feet on alternate sides cut off, or will be expelled out of the land. That is how they will be treated in this world, and in the next they will have an awful doom."

Slit throats of unbelievers:
Quran Sura 47:4: Therefore, when ye meet the Unbelievers (in fight), smite at their necks; At length, when ye have thoroughly subdued them, bind a bond firmly (on them): thereafter (is the time for) either generosity or ransom: Until the war lays down its burdens. Thus (are ye commanded): but if it had been Allah's Will, He could certainly have exacted retribution from them (Himself); but (He lets you fight) in order to test you, some with others. But those who are slain in the Way of Allah,- He will never let their deeds be lost.

Amputation for petty theft:
Quran Sura 5:38: Cut off the hands of thieves, whether they are male or female, as punishment for what they have done—a deterrent from God: God is almighty and wise.

Dont be friends with Jews or Christians:
Sura 5:51: O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust.

Permission for a muslim man to beat his wife if she doesnt obey him:
Sura 4:34: “Men are the maintainers of women because Allah has made some of them to excel others and because they spend out of their property; the good women are therefore obedient, guarding the unseen as Allah has guarded; and (as to) those on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, and leave them alone in their sleeping places and beat them; then if they obey you, do not seek a way against them; surely Allah is High, Great.”

Killing unbelievers:
9:123. O ye who believe! fight the unbelievers who gird you about, and let them find firmness in you: and know that Allah is with those who fear Him.

u should know first the "tfseer" of the Quran i mean the explanation
and he should read all of "sora" ,not only parts of it

in Islam,we can make friendship with non-Muslims but not loving them!i should, as Muslim, treat anyone as any other human being
and if what he said was true ,so how comes in Islam the man can marry a christian or a jew if he should hate or kill them?
obviously ,this guy was raised with some extremists who tought him fake things about islam and read some parts they liked in Quran without reading all the other parts.

Well, obviously that person did not know the interpretation of Quran. and if he did he had a screwed up one. Because the verse that he read is about being ALLIES with non-Muslims AGAINST Islam...
Arabic language has words that have different meanings, and there is the Sunna that explains the Quran.. So obviously when he was a Muslim he was brainwashed with misinterpreted Islam!

to study about Islam you want tostudy Quran because it truly is the word of God. The prophet's biography only shows a narrative about a guy's existence (the prophet) previously and after he were given the message from God to boot because it truly is been written by guy. So, the prophet's biography might want to have some corruptions yet no longer the Quran, the total and entire e book. Peace.

Well I don't know what part of the wuran he was reading from because I don't know of anypart that says don't be friends of jews or infadels.

Maybe infadels if they disrespect my faith.

The prophet mohamed himself married a jew and a christian so I don't know what this guy is talking about.

No it should be read in public. If the Muslims were outraged it was because an infidel was reading from our holy book.

If he was simply reading the verses, I don't see how that can be construed as a hate crime.

nope. but if the koran asks us to kill jews, the Prophet's next door neighbour was a jew, and he didn't kill him. why?

Reading the Quran is reading hate. Speaking it aloud is speaking hate. Period.
