A tourist travelling along a straight section of the Transcanada Highhway late at night has the car set on cruise con trol.at 11:30 p.m . he notices a sign that says 'Calgary 250 km'. A midnight he sees another sign reading 'Calgary 190 km'.What is his speed?

Assuming the signs are accurate, and that the midnight is only a half hour later than the 11:30 specified, the driver has travelled 60 km in 30 minutes which works out to 120 km/h, or about 75 mph.

If he saw those two signs in his rear view mirror, that is awfully frickin' fast to be going in reverse.

If he sees a sign that says "Calgary - Left", he ought to turn around and go home.

If it were anyplace other than Calgary, all bets are off. If you're going to Calgary for the first time, this map should help you get there.
