I am doing a science fair project, so I need to know how hot it has to be to cook an egg.

Eggs start setting at 145F to 160F, approximate.
The egg white usually sets at the lower temperature.

You don't intend to eat it or serve other people the egg do you? You're only doing a demo, correct?

So for your science fair, you can set up multiple surfaces at different temperatures to show when the egg starts cooking. I think that would be cool.

170F is the temp. the egg needs to be so that it is safe to eat. Anything there or above should cook it, but the lower temps will cook more slowly.
