Anyone that knows how to drive in bad conditions can do well with ANY vehicle. Those pansy SUV minivans like Hummers are just wastes of steel and gas, and do not help their owners drive any better. I also live in Colorado, west of Denver, and it's always the Lexuses, Hummers, and Land Rovers that are stuck in the snow off the C-470 freeway.

Audi.
I say Audi because they have the closest to 50/50 weight distribution of any car, so on ice, they would handle better than anything else out there.
They do make an AWD Audi too, so you can have the best of both worlds if you don't mind paying a fortune for it.

No cars are good driving on ice - unless you have chains or studded snow tires.
Front wheel drive cars are better driving in snow than rear wheel drive.
