i bleached my black hair to a few diffrent shades of red highlights, my bangs and surrounding my face turned a light copper brown and the other few colors range from auburn to dark reddish brown and still black underneath. so i have an ultra light blode toner from sally's and i think i might try it on the red and hopefully it will turn it dark blonde and light to dark brown for the rest of the highlights.. do you think it will work?

i don't necessarily want blonde highlights i just want to take the warmth out so with that in mind would a blonde toner take my red highlights into a brown stage since a toner doesn't lift?

A blonde toner will do nothing to the rest of your hair, it only tones blonde.

Dont be afraid to use it! Toners are my best friend!!!

it won't work so please don't waste your money. in order for any blonde toner to show in the hair it must be lighter than a gold tone and you still have reds with the lightest being copper. if you really want to be a blond it's best to see a professional or go to a beauty school where the students are monitored by licensed professionals. if you insist on doing this at home, get more hair bleach and get it to a yellow gold then go get it toned at a salon. toners used without knowledge of the color wheel can give you green hair or gray.

Toner will not NOT lift your hair. You will need to have your hair bleached up. Then if you still want you can tone your hair to the ultra light blonde but far as just putting the toner on your hair as it is now its not gonna do anything but waste money.

Ive been a hairdresser for over 15 years..and putting the blonde on will do nothing at all...it may just adjust the tone of the red...in order to get any blonde you have to prelighten the hair first...color wont lift color

When you bleach you hair for red highlites it is no diferent than bleaching for regular highlights. Just keep in mind that since your streaks are lighter than the rest of your hair, whatever colour you decide to dye it, the streaks will still be lickter than the rest of your hair.

Any colour with "ash" in it is going to decrease the pink. (Ash in actuality potential green based). The frustrating area would be getting the colour purely on the affected factors. If I have been you, i could stop mutually as i exchange into forward and get professional help. pink fairly isn't that undesirable, yet once you get the ash colour on hair without lots pink to it, you ought to wind up with a green tint on your hair.

Don;t try to fix your hair yourself. Every time you try to correct it you are doing a chemical treatment to your hair. It only keeps damaging your hair. Call a beauty shop and see what a corrective color will cost. I spent years messing up my hair until I got smart and stopped doing it myself.
