There's a guy down town who has had numerous affairs and drinks and smokes, runs a little gas station the only one in town.
So I shouldn't get gas there? Isn't that judging? It says with the judgement you give out is what you get.
God in his infinite wisdom gave mankind the right to choose, knowing that some would choose the wrong way.
But to have that freedom to choose was so important that he was willing to take that chance. By trying to control everyones right to free will your taking that away. You boycot Bill Gates, for computers then pass a law everyone has to go to your church.
Then they have to celebrate Christmas, call an evergreen a christmas tree. Actually it may be a scotch pine.
We not only lose freedom of religion we have a dictator that tells us how to worship, how many times a day to pray and in what direction. Then decide the penalty for disobedience, losing a hand, a foot or maybe cut off their head.
It is called being a control freak and a religious extremists.
Don't shop in that market because the man who owns it is muslim. Or maybe Catholic! Don't get shoes there because that man is a Jew. That may work in other countries but in USA we celebrate the diversity and allow people to believe the way they want to and shop where they want to and buy what they want to. And here you can call a tree, a christmas tree, a holiday tree or a scotch pine. Without getting your head chopped off.

"Gates, in an interview with Time magazine last year, was also questioned about his religious concerns. His answers stand in sharp contrast to those of Camus. Asked whether there was anything special, perhaps even divine, about the human soul, he replied: ''I don't have any evidence on that." Earlier in the interview, he had stated: "I don't think there's anything unique about human intelligence. All the neurons in the brain that make up perceptions and emotions operate in a binary fashion. We can someday replicate that on a machine. Earthly life is carbon based and computers are silicon based and that is not a major distinction. Eventually we'll be able to sequence the human genome and replicate how nature did intelligence in a carbon-based system." quoted from the url site listed below

Think you better do your homework on a man like Bill Gates, before you start posting what he is vs what he isn't.
Asked if he goes to church, he replied that his wife is Catholic and she goes, but, for himself: "Just in terms of allocation of time resources, religion is not very efficient. There's a lot more I could be doing on a Sunday morning."
An interesting contrast! Two very different men - Camus, an atheist, but with a chronic, anxious itch for religious questions. Gates, a believer, but seemingly indifferent to religious issues! Which is healthier?

That's an unChristian attitude. So what if he's an Atheist, that's his business. Do you go around scruitinising every business you deal with to make sure the CEO is a Christian? Did you check to see if Yahoo Answers is run by Christians? How do you know the version of Linux you use (well, you wouldn't use Windows would you?) was written by a Christian? At least Microsoft products work. That is a Christian attitude.

I try to look away from the atheist thingy - Like many have said he does loads of work for charity, and if that man and his wife can save the life of a starving child, then i don't care what his views are. he is doing GOD's work but does not realise it. I think what he does gives him more satisfaction than being the richest man on GOD's earth

I didn't like Bill Gates before.
Windows was a manuver in the corp world, if you have major time on your hands, you can try to get around it. I think that battle was lost probably before you were born.

Christians are buying and using a product from Mr. Gates, not adopting or supporting his philosophies and beliefs.
We also buy articles of clothing, food, houses, autos, etc.. from non-believers....and we sell to them as well.

If I did that with every single thing I touch, do, eat, I'd probably end up sitting in my apartment with no lightbulbs on catching rainwater on leaves.
Playing "Carrie Nation" (boycotting everyone and everything) doesn't help people experience the love of God.

Ummm...We don't care who is an atheist. It does not affect us. In fact, God respects people's desire to not follow him or even believe in Him. He seems like a nice guy. He does a TON of charity work. I think he donated more than the U.S. government. I think, I'm not positive.
