y is it dat guys shut everybody out when they're going through hard times? this guy i really do like n who claims he likes me a lot is shutting EVERYBODY out right now. he's going through some rough times and he's just trying to handle everything on his own. he wont talk to me or his bestfriends and we're the only people who really care about him cus he's not from here. why is he doing this and will he ever bounce back?

Don't try and force a guy to open up about his problems. He will if he feels safe and nagging will push him away. He'll open up when he's ready...if you don't try and force him to. The more you nag him about it, the more he'll clam up and resent you for it. It's about respect.

Because that's how they handle things. Are you kidding me? They won't even ask for something as simple as direction, what make you think they will go to you for comfort? It's part of the ego - being macho.

He is just afraid to show his emotions. There are a lot guys that are afraid to show their emotions. Give him sometime and tell him that he should not be afraid to express himself and that you and his friends wont make fun of him if it its something that is lame. also that you are his friend and he could trust you.

Cause guys are like cats when they are hurt and girls are like dogs when they are hurt. When cats are hurt they try and stay by themselves. When dogs are hurt they go to their owners and whatnot for comfort.

guys have more trouble letting out there feelings.. they dont want you to think that they are weak.. just make sure he know that you are there for him when ever he needs you so when he wants to open up your there for him.
