And who would write this about themselves:

Jeremiah 17:9 "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked:who can know it?"

Man couldnt have written the bible if he wanted to. Who would say that hating someone is the same as murder and who would say lusitng after a woman is the same as adultery UNLESS it was God behind the whole thing?
(I MEAN MANKIND)

Few people deny there is depth and inspiration to the Bible. Only fundamentalists - a minority - actually believe the Bible was written by God.
This can be demonstrated to be wrong with a cursive knowledge of Chruch history. Genesis as appears in today's Bibles was never found as a complete text; it has been put together from different documents relating to the same text, some of which were in disagreement with one another. Scholars, theologians and translators had to make choices as to which version was to be used in which passage. If you don't believe this, go see the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibition next time it comes near where you live - it will be obvious. And Genesis is not the only book of the Bible that had to be pieced together. In fact, virutually all of them, including the Gospels, were.
The Catholic and Orthodox Church made decisions as to what to include, and what not to include as parts of the canon. Other texts were deemend inspired, but not holy - so they were left out of the Bible. Protestants then removed five books added at a later date by Catholics, A lot of the Old Testament as we know it today was put together by Jewish scholars through the Middle Ages - some parts were accepted by the Catholic Church, and others not, hence the differences between the Old Testament and the Torah.
Any first year university student of either Theology, Medieval history, Greek or Hebrew knows this. It is not a subject of debate in university cycles that the Bible is the result of choices by different religious bodies.
So the Bible may be inspired, but it never appeared to any one in its full form, and neither God, nor Jesus, nor anybody else ever came down with a Bible from somewhere, complete in form, to say: This is the Book. Such a book does not exist.

Man would write a book comdemning man because man hates man. The personal desires and decisions that people have and make inevtiably bother someone else who makes different life choices. The heart is deceitful because everyone is looking out for themselves. If you could lie to get ahead, why wouldn't you? Maybe the bible was written by a group of people who wanted power. To achieve this power, they wrote a damning book full of consequences for "immoral" actions. If they could eventually get enough people to believe in it (and they did), they could begin taking advantage of these weaker individuals. It is quite possible...

Oral traditions and myths were written down as soon as men developed that ability. All societies had developed creation myths, both to try to understand where they came from and the demands their apparent creator had made for them in order to ensure their survival and well being. These myths were also formed to explain the source of punishment for what were otherwise unexplainable acts. All of this was written down to give future generations rules to live by and the supposed reasons behind these rules.
The warning that the hearts of men are deceitful was one of the most important, as all the dangers of nature are masked and deceitful in some fashion.

Because they know that shame is a powerful tool in getting someone to do your bidding. Also the bible has been edited countless times through out history to suit whatever political climate was prevalent at the time.

Take a look at the contradictions of the bible and countless historical inaccuracies.

You're not making any sense at all. By your reasoning, if I write

"I condemn mankind, and hatred is the same as murder"

you have to believe that I'm God. Oops.

You should have thought quite a bit more before you made this argument. It could hardly be more obvious that it's false.

rofl. Why wouldn't man write a book condemning themselves? Honestly, do you even read books?

Man writes books that paint ourselves as the worst possible species imaginable because its entertaining or teaches important lessons. Its always been that way and always will be that way.

What exactly do you think fairy tales are for? Just to entertain children? Of course not. They were never intended for children. They're for adults to teach a moral lesson.

You need a library card.

So your point is that the bible is so stupid and unrealistic that only a god could be that stupid as to write it?

Right, who in their right mind would say something as stupid as lusting after a woman is the same as doing it with her. It’s pretty stupid, but men have written stupider things. Some of us are pretty self loathing.

The Book was to control other people, not the religious elites that wrote it.

Haven't you read Animal Farm? Start with that and move on to higher education.

Why honor a god who says this in his holy book:

"Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man."
--Numbers 31:17-18

You do realize there are many "holy" books that say the same thing, many of them written BEFORE the Bible. Did God divinely inspire all of them, too?
