I would like to start working in the medical field quickly, but do not want to go to school for 2 years. How can I get a degree in Sonography and how long will it take?

Sonography/ultrasound tech and nursing have nothing to do with each other. I think you're looking at a two year associates degree in radiology in order to be a US tech.

The quickest and easiest certification is probably phlebotomy (drawing blood).

Depending on the state you are in, there are a lot of vocational schools or trade schools that may have a program in sonography. Usually, these are not degrees but certificates. Depending again in your state requirements, the certificate programs may be 2 years. I have not heard of a one month training in sonography.

I, for one would not risk my medical health interpretation of sonography who does not have extensive and good background in the field. In fact, it is irresponsible.

It is my understanding that you can get a certificate in ultrasound without being a nurse. I have seen various programs that just teach US. But to obtain a degree, you would have to go through the radiology division of a university.

Good luck...
