My 2 year old has a bad cold and needs to drink more fluids. She normally drinks juice from a cup without problem, but because she's feeling bad she won't. Any ideas on how to get her to take in some liquids besides Jello and popsicles?

Give her fruit with lots of water. Oranges, Watermelon, Peaches, and Berries. Give her some warm chicken broth. Soup is good, especially chicken noodle and tomato(which has other nutrients).Kool Aid is good. Hot tea with lemon and honey. Herbal teas which are fruity. Hope that helps and she feels better soon.

Try giving her any kind of drink she will take without caffeine. Mine decided to drink Hawaiian Punch or Graduates drinks by Gerber. Also flavored water. Also try soups. I know it is hard. I have a 3yr old and a 9mo old. Don't give up trying. Try to give it to her every few minutes. My 9mo old daughter would not drink by the bottle or sippy cup she wanted an adult glass. Try it all. Good luck.

Try fun twisty or different shaped straws, they always get my 3 year old excited about drinking.
