It might be hormones. If you're getting close to your "monthly visit with Aunt Flow", that could cause you to break out.

Sometimes acne needs a doctor's approach. If you've tried everything and nothing is working, you might want to go to a dermatologist. Otherwise I would recommend not washing your face more than 2x day, using a toner and a good oil-free moisturizer (I had a friend actually break out more because she was stripping her skin too much and not moisturizing!). Try using a mask specifically for acne once a week. There are some great recipes out there for acne. My mom told me about a lady who used to use egg whites as a mask and that cleared up her face. I used to use Milk of Magnesia (the unflavored kind as it has no mineral oil) as a mask. Itched like a mother as it dried but it seemed to work to clear up my skin. You could try going to someone who practices homeopathy instead of a dermatologist, just acne sometimes requires more than over the counter stuff can give it. Good luck sweetie.

Okay, I am being 100% serious when I say this. I am not joking! I swear! I have better things to do than make this up to be funny, so this is true, so matter how weird or Gross it sounds, but it DOES work!!
It is amazing, and no-one needs to know that you do this!
1st- you need sterile plastic cups, cotton balls, or makeup pad removers. They are the flat, round ones that come in a pack of like 50 or so.
2nd- your FIRST morning urine is the best, because it has had thee longest time to build up all of these natural chemicals.
3rd- pee in a sterile cup
4th- dip your cotton ball or pad into thee urine, saturate it
5th-wipe it all over the affected area, Thoroughly
6th-let it sit for a few mins, then rinse with fresh water, ABSOLUTELY NO SOAP!
I SWEAR THIS WILL CLEAR UP YOUR ACNE VERY QUICKLY!
It's really not that gross, it;s just liquid, and it's yours. And it's FREE!!!

I had terminal acne which nearly ruined my face. Unfortunately, acne comes from our blood stream, and it has to controlled medically until it subsides. I had to go the route of Accutane which cured it forever after years of being on antibiotics. It's not an easy thing to control because it is coming from our own hormones. Exterior applications of various products can help occassional acne but if yours is rampant, please see a doctor! No topical applications will stop the fuel coming from within to the outside of your skin!

periods can contribute to raging hormones causing acne
if this isn't the reason
see your doctor or a dermotologist
my doctor saw that i had red bumps some without heads and said that the Proactiv i used didn't help at all.
so she prescribed Differen.
this may work for you too
but go to the doctor asap.
