i have a eye infection the eye doctor gave me some antibiotic drops for eyes i use it five days and its still not working what should i do?

Maybe it's not a bacterial infection; could be viral or allergic. Go to doctor again, because if it's a few days a bacterial infection would have responded by now.

There's currently no cure-all for infection, as it can be caused by either bacteria, viruses, parasites, or fungus, each having their own kind of anti-biotic.

There are several possibilities. One, the antibiotic hasn't worked yet. Some drugs need a certain period of time to have its effect. Two, your doctor might have prescribed the wrong medication for your type of infection (I hope this is not the case). You might want to visit him again and voice out your concerns (best move, in my opinion).

Would you know the drug that he gave you? It's the name of the drug (the generic name is most likely the name inside the box on the label)

Or if you recall, what specific infection did you have? I'm a medical student and I'm taking up Pharmacology right now. Wouldn't hurt to recall what I've studied.
