The phrase is for a tattoo it's "Peace is but a shadow of death."

Haven't done any Latin in a couple of years, but this should be right: Pax modo umbra mortis est.

Don't get it tattooed until someone agrees with me. =P

I gave him the thumbs up yesterday, but no one else has rated or posted since then - surprising. The translation is fine. Rather an odd thing to want for a tattoo (I find the concept somewhat incomprehensible), but the Latin is correct.
