I will be in Helston for my birthday in march and would love to catch and cook razor clams, does anyone have insider advice?

Any beach that has a sandy shore when the tide is right out. They are best caught on low water of a neap tide. Pour salt down the breathing hole and wait a while until the shell appears, grasp firmly and hold without pulling until the foot releases it's grip and there you have it. Steam in a little white wine until they open, remove and take off the shell. Melt a little butter and add a chopped garlic to the juices, pour over the flesh and enjoy with brown bread and butter.
