Based on an article, 'Arctic island town sees more than its share of stars,' Chicago Tribune Section 5 (Tempo) November 16, 2006, Iqaluit, Nunavut, Canada is an Arctic town of 6,500 and is a fueling stop for a lot of jets owned by celebrities. It is just about halfway between Los Angeles and Europe.
Brooke Shields had always wanted to spend a night in an igloo. Since the local residents now enjoy modern housing, an igloo was specially made for her.
So, in general, modern day Inuits or Eskimos reside in modern housing like yours and mine, perhaps specially designed to meet the climate and facilities available to them.
There may still be some Eskimos or Inuits, and even Arctic explorers who build igloos for their temporary use.

from school....I`m pretty sure that the Inuits are what they REALLY called them but Eskimos are just another name for them. So theyre practicly the same thing....yeah I think the Inuits/Eskimos still live in igloos in Alaska.
