Well, that would be an interesting twist of fate. Yes, what would an atheist do if their child became a Christian. I didn't need my parents to help me believe in God.

It has been my experience that atheist parents are more open minded and tolerant than radically religious parents, especially towards their own children. Therefore, if a child of an atheist wanted to become a christian, I'm sure some discussion would take place but the parents would more than likely support their child.

What does Carrie Underwood have to do with Christian stuff? I will allow my kids to listen to what they like, and if they decide to be christian, that's fine, as long as they don't push those delusions on me.

My daughter has several gospel c.d's. I would much rather have her throw some of the other crap out of the house she listens to.
She also had several bibles in the house. I am atheist...she is not.

as with any music I don't care for, I'd simply ask that he play it where I don't have to hear it. Just as I would do with my music that he or my husband don't care to hear.
However, he has good taste. He likes jazz, celtic, classical and They Might Be Giants.

no, atheist parents accept their children for who they are
I believe that it's religious parents who condemn their kids for listening to devil music, for having friends of other religion, for choosing not to believe in god

Probably. They would rather their kids listen to the crap on the radio nowadays. So this way, when they grow up, they'll know to refer to women as b/tches and H0s.
