Hi there, I'm in the UK and know what tea means.
Are you feeding her a complete dry food? Dogs can sometimes get a bit bored with the same stuff day after day (Iwould), I sometimes add half a tin of sardines/pilchards or something similar just to relieve the boredom a bit, my dogs also thoroughly enjoy a little tripe mixed in, dogs really like smelly food! and believe me the latter is smelly! not too much tripe though as it is high fat! just a taste really.

Dogs can be picky eaters just like people. My dog is really picky about his food. If we feed him something new and he doesn't like it he will go days without eating until he is really hungry then he will eat it. Whats up with the tea? Plain water and good dog food. Also alot of dogs don't like the odd flavors in their food like the cheese flavors ect. Give a new food a try and see what it does. My dog only eats when he is hungry. This might be very little a day but he is very healthy. Another possibility is he is catching a bug. Give him a few days and if your still concerned take him to your vet for a checkup. Good Luck

About 15 months ago my dog started to lose her appetite. At first we did not notice anything else wrong, but eventually we realised there was somethiong wrong with her eye. Turned out she had a severe eye infection which the vet said is a very painful condition and before she was cured she was refusing to eat or drink, had to be hospitalised for intravenous rehydration and feeding. Sixteen months later she has just been given a clean bill of health - not bad for an 18 & a half-year-old !! Take care that you are not missing something wrong with your dog.

It's very possible you have the rare dog that can have food left out for it and it won't over-eat. If you think there might be a problem, set out a measured amount (say 3 cups) and see how much she finishes by the end of the day. If it stays the same over a week or so, it sounds like she's eating what her body needs. If it drops off or seems odd, call your vet. Also, stop the tea.

Your dog may be bored with the type of food or the same old thing. Have u switched the dog into dog food from puppy food becaus ehe is about that age now. also try a gravy maybe the aroma stimulates their sense of smell. Iams has the best one in my opinion . Also he might be sick so if you take him to the vet they can perscribe the perscription diet for him

Don't think some people understood the "tea" thing there. Lol. It could just be the brand of dog food that she doesn't like. My dog did the same with dry food and so now he's on tins. I know it's not the best thing for him, but he loves it. Don't forget, though, changer her diet gradually otherwise you will upset her stomach.

do what i do on waking i put about 300 gm of complete food out and a lot of water for my 2 jacks then leave them to it .if they hungry they eat despite what people say not all dogs eat anything in front of them at one sitting although its right for some dogs dont give her set meal times after all she's not human and probably doesn't know what the hell breakfast tea or other human meal times are.after all we have been conditioned to eat at set times while animals have their own way

Tea? Breakfast? Dogs and cats can go off their food for what appears no particular reason. Try changing her food.

i've got 2 dobermans and usually dogs wont eat what they cant smell, does she have a cold? my babies get colds in the winter and solmetimes they get sniffles when it rains, try mixing a bit of ground beef in her food a teaspoon or two will do, see if she starts eating again, if not i would call the vet, but he will most likely just tell you to slowly change her food by buying a new bag of a different brand and mixing the old with the new little bits at a time.
from one dobie lover to another!! :]
