I broke my leg and my doctor prescribed darvocet Propoxyphene 100mg Acetaminophen 650mg (pink pill with the # 93 on one side and 890 on the other) i'm curious to know how they compare in strenght to vicodin or percocet, because when i took the vicodin 750ml at one time they were strong enough for me and i don't want to take something that's too strong.

not sure but I think Darvocet is weaker than Vicodin. Percocet is the strongest of the three that i'm aware of..

Darvocets work very different in your system compared to hydrocodone(vicodin). Many people call Darvocet dirty as they make you feel a little weird like a crude intoxication I should say. Darvocet are much more dangerous when abused compared to vicodin to. I remember a student at Yale went and requested those unknowing and died by trying to take a ton of them like some people do vicodin. Sorry I feel I must add that if you feel the need to take more. If you have problems I would go back to that doctor or just go in to an ER. an ER will rarely perscribe darvoset.
I would think to manage that pain a vicodin 7/750 would be best if pain is at least an 8 on a scale 1-10. If your pain is less darvocet can work.
Also I should mention if you have one beer and one darvocet, this is very dangerous and causes a rapid effect that is very uncomfortable and can be dangerous. Again compared to people who have drank on Vicodin do not experience this effect. Many doctors won't talk about this things but you never know what the patient is going to do, so I feel the need to inform.

Darvocets are bit stronger then Vicodin but not as strong as Percocets, at least in my experience (I've taken all the above and then some).

Darvocet is a little more potent than vicoden...it's between vicodin and percocet.

I prefer vicodin --- they won't upset your stomach as much as Darvocets.

Hi there, sorry to hear you broke you rleg! Well I am not sure what the first medicine is listed, but the second one, Acetaminophen 650mg is basicly extra strength tylonel. try googling the words to see what it is...maybe codiene? Am not sure but be careful eat something when take anything you dont know how will act as may upset your stomache! Sorry I dont know the whole answer :)
