I'm really interested in going to Ful Sail University, but on my own, I really can't afford to make it. I'm worried because my GPA isn't great, there's no colege fund saved up for me by my parents, and I don't have a job. How am I going to pay for college with all of this weighing down on me?

Set the bar a little lower at first. Get your prerequisites out of the way for the first one or two years by going to a community college.

You can save up money and start working on your breaks and days you don't have classes. A community college may not sound great, but they have payment plans that make college affordable and you can get financial aid.

If there's a specific thing you want to study, research if anyone is giving scholarships for that field.

Just remember that if you take out a lot of loans, you'll owe until you're 50!

It's a lot easier to transfer credits from college to college instead of being fresh out of high school. After the first couple of years, the university might not feel so far from reach.

Hope that helped!

Student loans. Military first? Or work full-time and go to school full-time. My english professor worked full-time and went to UCLA full-time, got her masters and now teaches at community college. She was raised in a trailer...I am sure you can find a way. I have my own problems funding college. That is why I work full-time and go to community college part-time, keep a 4.0 gpa with hopes of someday transfering to a UC.

Look for grants. If you got to a large book store (I work at Barnes and Noble), you can go to the college finance section and find books full of grants. There is a book about going to college for almost free. Also, ask the U for help.

You may just have to work and go to college part time. Try for loans and grants, not all of them depend on excellent grades. Join the military and get aid through them.
