The mother was waving incense before it today...I assume it's religious, but I've never heard of such a thing. I'm very interested in what it represents.

This is not Passover----that will come this Spring. And, Jews do not use incense or hang red cloths over the door.

It sounds like a Far Eastern religion, and I am sure would be very interesting to find out what it means. Do go and ask them. I am sure they would not mind. I have had people ask me things about my Jewish religion when they did not understand it. I am always happy to explain.

As a black chick also i basically favor to assert what does hair color ought to do with race and personality? Its a stereotype that blondes are dumb,pink heads don't have any soul etc.
