The only one who cares about your pets name is you and your pet. There is no requirement to have the name registered, except maybe if you want to tell the Vet. If you want to change the pets name, then change it..but just make sure that you train the pet to used to the name.. it usually takes about four hours for a dog to change allegiance.. since they have a short memory span( about ten minutes) you have to use repetitions with commands that get their attention so that they recognize the sound of their new names.. buy a book or get one off the internet.. it ain't that hard. good luck

if you have ben caling your pt sparky all this time why change it? if your name is bob how would you like if mom started calling you george! same thing pal...don't do it if you want to change a nome get another pet.
