Question about a 1996 saturn wagon?

My friend got this saturn and now some times it wont start she has to left up the hood and she does some thing in there to make the power go on then it starts to beep than she has to jump in the car and start it.But now the car wont start at all .Is this an easy fix like just having to buy some kind of fuse orsoming like that or is this going to cost alot to fix.She wants to know. can some one please help with this question

Sounds like cleaning the battery connections might help.

Clean both battery cables when off of the battery and the battery terminals and retighten to battery.
