Sounds like you are either being scammed or trying to scam someone...

The Financial Crime Division of the Nigerian Police is charged with enforcing Section 419 (fraud) of the penal code.

Don't make any more contact with this person. There is no reason that a Nigerian law enforcement officer would make contact with you without first contacting your local agency. Nigeria, especially Lagos, is the fraud capitol of the world. There are 14 year old kids making thousands of dollars a week by pulling scams like this. End your contact and if you have sent ANY money at all, cancel the check and report this to your local police.

Stay away from anything that has to do with Nigeria. You should assume that any letter, fax, email or other correspondence originating from Nigeria is A SCAM. Send NO personal information to anyone in Nigeria. Send them no money and do not communicate with them.

Please take the time to read up on the "Advance Fee Fraud" scams that originate out of Nigeria. Here are some good links.

Too many scams come out of Lagos Nigeria. If he wants money, don't send it. If he is representing himself to make something sound legitimate, don't do it.

Watch out, the nigerian letter scams are everywhere.

Are you trying to report a scam, or is this person trying to tell you he is for real? You need to contact Interpol to report nigerian scams. Someone close to be got scammed out of $2,000. They make everything seem very real and hard to disprove. They are good at covering their tracks and everything you do to report them doesn't work, just comes to a dead end. They are called scam ARTISTS for a reason. I hope you find what you are looking for. Good luck.

Sounds like a 419 scam (aka Nigerian scam). Do not respond to this scammer!!!! And most certainly do not send this guy any money.
