I would drive the car myself and make the girl work at McDonald's, in the RED uniforms.

First of all I don't see whats so hard about getting the right color in the first place. I would understand more if they had gotten it at a used car dealership were make model and color were hard to come by, but they more then likely got it at a SOB(?) dealership were all your really doing is picking out the color you want, most of the makes and models are the same. Also why couldn't they just take it back in and exchange it for a different color or just have it painted? And why would they buy her another car (a pretty blue one this time) and let her sell the red one on E-Bay for $9.99?? Why not just give the red one to the son?? The girl is way too spoiled, but I don't see anything wrong with being picky. But then again I wouldn't buy my kids a brand new car to began with, it would have to be used and they would come with us to pick it out.

Really a moot point. My daughter would never be raised with such an obscene sense of entitlement, so the issue would never come up. But if by some strange freak occurrence she were to react like that, I'd simply sell the car to someone else and she could start saving to buy herself her own blue car.

What a little whore...I do plan on getting my kid a car when they learn to drive, but not if they act like that. I can understand her wanting a certain color, but she was completely ungrateful for getting a new car. If I were her parents she wouldn't be getting a new car at all she'd be riding the big cheese (school bus) everyday. Although its her parents fault that she's acting this way...she didn't get spoiled on her own.

I'm sure any one would be a little disappointed, but i mean jeeze its a free car. My parents got me a new car a few years ago, it wasn't the exact model I wanted but it was free so I took it!

In my answer, I will avoid stating that this problem, in a large part, is the fault of the parents. The girl didn't get that spoiled totally on her own. With that said, if the parents came to me for counseling, I would tell them that the solution is easy.

Tell her, "Its your choice. I have purchased you a red car for your birthday. You can choose to accept my expensive gift for you and use it. Or, you can choose not to accept it AND not have any car. The choice is yours. I have confidence that you will make a choice that you will be happy with." End of conversation.

I would probably back-hand her so hard she fell on her @$$, then call her a spoiled brat. Not only would I only take her car back (and figured out along the way where I went wrong with her) i would go home and tell her she had a week to find a job because her rent was due next month (only like $150-$200) and if she wanted ANYTHING she would have to buy it herself.

Man I wish I got a car from mommy and daddy growing up. Yikes, I hope my daughter won't be upset when I give her the car I have now for her. Well, she should have just said thank you, and explained it to her family later. What a b*tch!! I would of smacked her fake nose off.

Goodness. That's a nice car! Something I would kill for my dad to get me. I would beat the ever lovin crap out of her. What a spoiled brat.
I guess having to work for my own things like cars, etc.. I wouldn't even think about acting like that if my dad actually bought me one.

my daughter wouldnt complain if she got a car in any color. unless i bought her the ugliest car there was, and then it wouldnt be complaints because come on its still a car, it drives u from point a to point b. (my daughter will know the value of a dollar) if she wants to get a certain car in a certain color she better pay for it all.

If this was my daughter I would be an idiot for permitting her to be so spoiled and I would need to take myself out in the woods with a pistol and end it all.
