I am a Jehovah's Witness and many of the Kingdom Halls do have windows.
It depends on where they are located. Most in Africa or Tropical weather have windows which are kept open for the breeze as many do not have air conditioning.
If the Kingdom is in a noisy area no windows reduce noise and distraction from outside.
Everyone is welcome anytime to visit and see that we are not a cult, but are a congregation of men, women and children studying and learning the bible together. Nothing strange about us at all. No candles, no chanting, no rolling in the aisles, no concerts, no hellfire sermons, etc...

Bill, The Kingdom Hall as Jehovah's Witnesses call their meeting buildings are just like any other low maintenance building. Most do not have windows simply because of the cost to install and maintain them. If they are broken then they need to be repaired. Those that do have windows, and there are not very many, are usually being removed and/or remodeled and the windows are taken out. The reason behind the no windows design is the primary purpose of the Witnesses is to be out in the Ministry preaching God word of his not replacing broken window.
Just to answer a couple of the statements made by others answering this question.
We follow Bible teachings knowing that Jehovah is God Almighty, Psalms 83:18 KJV1611
We acknowledge Jesus Christ as Jehovah's first born of all creation.
We do not break up families. Nor do we brainwash people.
By definition we are not a cult.
Below is a link to an article entitled "Jehovah's Witnesses—Who Are They? What Do They Believe?" I think you will find it very interesting. At least when you speak with people about Jehovah's Witnesses you will be able to speak from an educated point of view.
I hope this has answered some of your questions. Enjoy your reading and If I may suggest "Read the Bible Daily"

Most Kingdom Halls actually do have windows.
Generally, a Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses is built without windows only in areas which tend toward hate crimes and vandalism against houses of worship. Sadly, it seems that the questioner must be from an area with a reputation for bigotry and lawlessness.
Jehovah's Witnesses are proven to be true Christians based upon the Witnesses' preaching work and the anti-Witnesses' bigoted hatred against them.
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

really some do. the only in Altoona has homestead windows and it changed into outfitted very last 12 months. I previous the dominion hall in Indiana Pa. and it has homestead windows to boot. As for why some Kingdom Halls don't have homestead windows, there are solid causes. listed right here are some to guage: a million. homestead windows are an further price. 2. homestead windows are exertions wide and structure slows right down to allow for the necessary prep paintings. 3. homestead windows are weak to damage. for example the dominion hall my spouse's relatives attended had homestead windows. The community childrens used the motor vehicle parking zone to play baseball and on a minimum of three activities homestead windows were damaged. there changed into coverage to conceal the damage and tear yet then the coverage charges went up. i desire this helps.

my kingdom hall does have windows. many don't. people sometimes break the windows. it is also cheaper to build without windows. the doors are always open. we are not hiding anything. www.watchtower.org. we don't need fancy windows like churches have. we are not harming ourselves or our children inside. we are not a cult. I am getting tired of people saying we are a cult. a cult worships man. we worship Jehovah and Jesus Christ. if you want to know what is going on inside come on in and see for yourself. everyone is welcome. I would like to know why people keep asking why Kingdom Halls don't have windows, instead of finding out what Jehovah Witnesses are all about. they think we are hiding something inside.

Actually, JWs don't have any places of worship, just places of learning. According to Christ, worship is best done at home, alone, for no one to see. It is a personal act between you and God. Only in the churches of Christendom do people have the need to make a public display of their faith and worship in front of a crowd.
Windows
This is getting old. The Kingdom Halls are fully open for anyone to see, if they didn't fear going in and learning something they didn't know before.

And 23 more in the last six months. If you want to know, go there during a meeting and look. Any time there are cars in the lot there should be a meeting going on. Unless you are afraid.

They do not because it is one of there 101 practices (see link below). I read somewhere that it has to do with maintenance/vandalism and the cost from that, but I think it is just a rule.

Because they keep getting vandalized. It gets expensive to replace and cheaper not to put them in.
