Humanity

Why is this even a question?
Do you think those two exclude each other? Why should you ever be forced to chose?

The God I believe in (as do almost all religions in the world) would never force this choice on people. Or make it possible, as a matter of fact. It's said That God created people in His image. Evolution aside (it's not important how He did it), that implies that you can't love God and kill people, as well as love people and hate God. They are insepparable, and that's what a lot of fanatics forget.

Also, one other important lesson is to be learned from the parabol of the good Samaritan. As far sa I understand it, in the day, the Israelis and Samaritans were like India and Pakistan or USA and USSR during cold war. So when Jesus asks who is the wounded man's true brother, the message is that His brothers are those who do and live as He has preached, no matter what religion or colour or race or any other human criteria.

Anyway, humanity is materialisation of God. Because it's based on the same principles. If you use your life to help people and improve this world we live in, and you don't pray once in all your life, or even believe in God, I believe you'll find yourself in heaven. If there is such a place.

HUMANITY! Because almighty god is not that almighty and that refers to every god of every religion. No matter how many pretty words you try to color your religion or belief with, they all turn out to be the same dogmatic crutch needed for a weak mind. Nothing is resolved by praying to your particular god, he doesn't answer prayers, he doesn't perform miracles, and he doesn't care if you starve or prosper.

Famine, sexually abused infants, war, disease, deacons dying from cancer and gang bangers living until 65 should all tell you that whatever god you think might be there is puny and insignificant or does not care about humanity at all. In fact from the evidence it's pretty clear that god hates everybody.

The only way for any peace, prosperity, and good will, personally or globally, to manifest is if every person realized his or her religion is a dogmatic delusion binding us to a frame of mind that doesn't allow for compromise, compassion, or brotherhood other than with people with the same delusion. Once that is done then it becomes clear that all hope and promise comes from each individual, from within.

A god isn't needed for us to do what is right or to guide us towards what must be done. Look where religion has gotten us so far in the history of humankind, 3000 years of talking to an invisible man in the sky and we're no better off than the cavemen, socially and emotionally.

All god is anyway is access to our subconscious mind, but when we cut out the middle man and speak directly to ourselves all of our capabilities are accessible.

I think that the Almighty has taught us to respect our fellow human beings. So instead of holding a rosary in one hand and chanting His name to make sure that you go straight to heaven, we should start doing some good. I believe in God and in His existence but it no good just chanting His name and letting the world go to the dogs. I'm sure doing some good to fellow humans will put your name in the good book of God. And who knows, you just may end up in heaven.

both, bcoz one is related to another.a person who believes in god is a staunch believer of humanity,he will help the people in need with the way he seems fit.as you know service is the best prayer to get blessings from almighty.it is also to be noted that learn ed men said from early ages that humanity can only survive if they act together in the way lord told them to,so i think almighty and humanity is a must for every person.

Without God there would be no humanity. It is interesting, as you read all the answers all recognize some form of personality other than human in our existence. I suggest every mind is anxious to know what that is . We hear it inside our selves. Some call it conscience. I say it is spirit and it communicates with the maker of that spirit. If you tune in to it and tune out all the interference. You will be amazed at all the good advice .Practicing that good advice will lead you to find the advice is always perfect and you will wonder where in the world does it come or does it even come from the one who created your physical being as well as your invisible being that is life itself.
